This week, however, almost 30 students came for a different reason. The students are members of the national Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, hailing from colleges throughout the country. These students are members of the fraternity’s “Journey of Hope,” during which three groups of fraternity members travel by bicycle from coast to coast in order to raise awareness, as well as donations, for disabled people nationwide.
Journey of Hope arrives in Havasu
The cyclists arrived at Lake Havasu High School on Thursday, where they will stay for two days before continuing their journey. The group was met by members of Havasu’s Civitan Club, who have for more than 10 years hosted Pi Kappa Phi members during their stay.
