Our Path Forward

For nearly half a century, men of Pi Kappa Phi have worked to build a community, one relationship at a time where the abilities of all people are recognized and valued. Our current circumstances won't keep us from serving that mission, they’ve only shined a light on the needs of those we serve and sharpened our resolve to make a difference.

The Ability Experience has always been focused on creating a community where the abilities of all people can be recognized and valued. In this moment, it can seem tough to feel that sense of community; COVID-19 has had countless impacts on our daily lives, but for the disability community, barriers to access and social isolation have been even more acute. Making matters worse, The Ability Experience has been forced to cancel programs that our partners benefit from each year and campus closures have greatly reduced the funds that make those programs possible in the future. We need your help to champion the abilities of all people.

We need your help and we’re calling on you to take action. Here are some ways you can get involved:

Make a Donation

The impact of COVID-19 not only prevent us from carrying out our mission through our long-standing programs, it has stifled much of the fundraising we rely on during this time of year. This not only impacts us immediately but jeopardizes our ability to bring our programming back when it is safe to do so. Whether it is a one-time donation or a monthly gift, your support can help ensure we can carry out our mission for years to come.

Give Us Your Feedback

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Gear Up Florida, Journey of Hope and Build America are moving to a virtual format. We need your help in moving forward to find new ways to serve the mission. We ask for your help in determining the best path forward to provide virtual shared experiences between people with disabilities and men of Pi Kappa Phi. Please share with us your ideas and opportunities. We’d love to figure out new ways to work together in order to continue serving our partners during this difficult time.
