The ride into Fort Collins was our first mostly flat ride since going over the Rockies. Being from a relatively flat area, that meant it was nice to have a break from climbing hills or large mountain passes. We were also lucky enough to have some sponsors meet us at the sign on the Colorado border. They brought us some banana bread and a ladder so that we could get on the sign and take some cool pictures. Fort Collins is also a beautiful town with a lot of interesting activities. I ended up spending the majority of my time playing a Belgium version of shuffleboard that was nearly impossible to win. By the time we went back to lodging, I could say that Fort Collins was definitely one of my favorite days of the trip so far.
