After a day off in Colorado Springs which provided some relaxation and adventure, the team attacked today’s 65 mile ride to Pueblo, CO with vigor. We cruised most of the way with only a few stops for flat tires. Upon entering the city limits, the crew worked to mark turns quickly and get cyclists to lodging as fast as possible.
The team then enjoyed about three hours of down time during which members picked up some coffee, scouted tomorrow’s route, or rested to prepare for the hot days ahead. Everyone has made it a point to increase their intake of water so to avoid dehydration while on the bike.
At 5:30 PM we took vans to Gold Dust Saloon where our dinner was sponsored by the Arc of Pueblo. After eating, the team headed back to lodging where guys wrote in Journals, watched some TV, and prepared for the 125 mile ride tomorrow.
