The team cycled out of Cincinnati and headed south toward Lexington, Kentucky.  It was clear early in the ride that we are now out of the plains and into the foothills of the mountains as we took on hill after hill. Cyclists stopped on the bridge over the Ohio River to take pictures of the city skyline and then continued for the remainder of the 90 miles.

We arrived at a friendship visit at Latitude Arts where clients with mental and physical disabilities come to draw, color, and do other crafts. After spending a couple hours at Latitude and enjoying some Raising Cane’s chicken for lunch, the team drove to lodging at CAKY.

Our second friendship visit of the day began at 6:00 PM at lodging. CAKY services people with intellectual and physical disabilities in the Lexington area. The dinner was sponsored and it turns out that people in Lexington love their Raising Cane’s because we had it for dinner too! By 8:00 PM the clients made their way home while the team settled in for the night to rest and prepare for the 65 mile ride tomorrow to Morehead.
