We woke up today at 6:00 for a 70 mile ride. The ride was mostly downhill, which was a nice break from the difficult climbs through the mountains. It was a sentimental feeling in the morning knowing that this was our last real ride as a team. We got to lodging at Fall’s Church Presbyterian Church. Later on, the North route team and the South route team met us and had a fantastic BBQ dinner. We ate pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, and mac and cheese. After that, we went over logistics for arrival tomorrow at the Capitol Hill . Tomorrow will inevitably be bittersweet, so we’re trying to soak in every moment possible together.
