Concord carpenter uses skills for accessibility program
Tomorrow and Saturday, a Concord business owner will host a group of young men from various Pi Kappa Phi chapters and teach them the basics of load bearing, ladder safety, miter saws, building practices, drilling and more as part of a two-day training program to prepare them for a six-week service trip.

The crew at Concord Carpenter wanted to part of something bigger than ourselves so we volunteered to instruct the Build America Team on tool usage and tool safety. This is an intensive 3-day program that will teach these 21 young men how to safely use, and operate power tools, and how to build some of the projects they will be encountering.

A lifeguard says he was just doing his job in Marion, but those who work with him call him a hero. Dustin Scoles of Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Resort spotted a five year old near the bottom of the deep end. Dustin's nickname is "dash," and Tuesday he earned it.

Fraternity men cycle 4,200 miles to help people with disabilities
TOPEKA, Kan. (June 20, 2014) - On July 6, a group of fraternity 19 cyclists and 8 crew members men will be in Topeka. The group are participating in Push America's Journey of Hope, a 4,200-mile cycling event across the country. From Seattle to Washington D.C., the men will be cycling to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Fraternity brothers of Pi Kappa Phi are biking across the country to help those with disabilities on their "Journey of Hope". They made a stop in Cheyenne Saturday on their 4,300 mile journey from Seattle to Washington D.C.
