The Gear Up Florida team made it to Gainesville, Florida, on Wednesday, May 20 and are three days out from finishing their 865 mile journey from Miami to Tallahasse.

Almost 100 members of Special Populations, cheering and holding handmade signs, welcomed 21 bicyclists Monday afternoon at the Sun Splash Family Waterpark pavilion.

Twenty-one cyclists with the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity pedaled into the parking lot of the Disability Achievement Center, 12552 Belcher Road S. in Largo, May 13, making a stop in the group's 16-day, 800-mile trek across Florida.

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Fraternity members from across America are spending the start of their summer vacations in Florida, raising money to help the disabled. It's called "Gear up Florida," and it's sure to work up a sweat!
