Arrival Date: Sunday, August 10, 2025, in New York City

Arrival is the culmination of a life-changing experience. Upon creating so many shared experiences across New York, one cannot help but get caught up in the emotion surrounding such a special day. This is a day of celebrating abilities and accomplishments while reflecting on a few weeks of service.

10:30 a.m. – All family and friends at Arrival location
11:00 a.m. – Gear Up New York Arrival
12:00 p.m. – Gear Up New York Celebration Lunch
1:30 p.m. – Team Members are Dismissed

Team members departing from New York City on Sunday should book flights after 4:30 p.m. Hotel rooms will be provided Sunday night for team members wishing to travel home on Monday.

Hotel Accommodations

The Gear Up New York Arrival in New York City is scheduled for August 10, 2025 with the arrival. Our host hotel is tbd. We have secured special group rates for family and friends for the weekend. If you’d like to reserve a room at the team hotel, please click the link below. *Reserve ASAP to secure our discounted rate. Cut-off date to book your room is tbd.

The Ability Experience will provide rooms at the hotel for team members staying overnight on August 10.

Gear Up New York Arrival

Where: The location in New York City is still being finalized

When: Sunday, August 10

Time: The teams will arrive promptly at 11:00 a.m. but are subject to change based on weather conditions.

IMPORTANT: Friends and family should arrive at arrival location by 10:30 a.m. It will likely be very warm, so dress comfortably and bring water and sunscreen! Absolutely no alcohol is allowed at the Arrival event.

The Ability Experience Celebration

Where: Celebration location details are still being finalized

When: Sunday, August 10

Time: 12:00 pm

This event will highlight the team who just finished the inaugural event while celebrating the shared experiences and lives impacted during the event!

Registration is required. Dress is casual.
