The arrival weekend is scheduled for May 24, 2025. The Gear Up Florida arrival weekend celebrates cycling and service across the state of Florida. Whether you are a team member, parent, family member, friend or just a bystander, it is easy to get caught up in the excitement that surrounds this weekend. This weekend is not just an end to an incredible trek; it is the start of an ongoing journey that will forever change a Gear Up Florida team member’s life. Over the course of the two weeks, Gear Up Florida team members have experienced joy, pain, exhaustion and a deeper understanding for people with disabilities. We hope that you will join us in our celebration.

The arrival is scheduled to take place in Tallahassee at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24. Please arrive around 2:30 p.m. as the team will be arriving at 3:00 p.m. sharp! Plan on wearing shorts and lots of sunscreen! It is traditionally very warm that day, so please be prepared.

Gear Up Florida Celebration & Dinner

Join us for a celebration to recognize the accomplishments of the Gear Up Florida team on Saturday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m. The celebration and buffet dinner will be held at our host hotel. The attire for the evening is business casual. Cost for this event will be $45 per guest. On-site registration may be higher.

Post-Trip Travel
Cyclist Departure

Cyclists can book flights departing any time on Sunday, May 25 out of Tallahassee International Airport (TLH).

Crew Departure

Crew will be dismissed from Charlotte after debrief. Flights can be book leaving Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) after 3:00pm on Monday, May 26.
