Fur, friends, and tail-wagging fun came together at Northwestern State University for a unique philanthropic event on Wednesday.

Florida International University hosted the 11th annual 2015 Relay for Life event, last Friday, Feb. 27, at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus. About 90 teams and organizations teamed up to participate in the 12 hour long event, which benefits The American Cancer Society.

Alumni consultants from Pi Kappa Phi, Austin Seller, University of Florida and Gary Sugg, Appalachian State University, have been on campus for the past quarter to recruit and establish an associate chapter at DU.

Pi Kappa Phi is trying to change stereotypical views of Greek life on university campuses through working with The Ability Experience, formerly known as PUSH America, to help people with disabilities.
