Become an Ambassador

Our mission as Team Ability Experience ambassadors is to support people with disabilities on their athletic endeavors.

By participating in regional events and engaging in their local athletic community (cycling, running, CrossFit, triathlon, etc), ambassadors will represent Team Ability Experience. The commitment and participation of our ambassadors helps establish relationships with other racers and runners to generate continuous support for The Ability Experience.

Funds raised support The Ability Experience programs, programs that use shared experiences to support people with disabilities and develop the men of Pi Kappa Phi into servant leaders.

Requirements to Apply

  • You must be 21 years old or older
  • You are a Pi Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi alumnus or supporter of The Ability Experience
  • You are ready to host events in your area and help represent Team Ability Experience
  • You are prepared to share and promote our mission across various platforms

  • Add “@Team.AbEx Ambassador 🤝” to your Instagram and Strava bio.
  • Add “Team AbEx” to your Strava and Zwift name.
  • Tag TheAbilityExperience in your relevant posts.
  • Refer friends and family to The Ability Experience’s fundraisers and events.

  • Train and race in your Team Ability Experience gear.

  • Create social media content for Team Ability Experience.
  • Participate in official challenge events.
  • Be active in your favorite sport community.
  • Communicate in the ambassador Facebook group.

Expectations

  • Ambassadors advocate disability awareness in their community and include athletes with disabilities in local athletic events.
  • Our ambassadors commit fundraise a minimum of $1,000 in a calendar year.
  • Organize monthly local gatherings for supporters in your area, including run clubs, social events and races.
  • Recruit Pi Kappa Phi members, friends and family to participate in local and national in-person Ability Experience Challenge events.
  • Tag The Ability Experience in your relevant posts.

Get Involved Today!

As a Team Ability Experience Ambassador, your fundraising, participation and engagement will have a real, lasting impact on the disability community. Funds raised will support The Ability Experience programs.

There is no membership fee. As an ambassador, you commit to fundraising a minimum of $1,000 in a calendar year.

You will receive special-edition Ability Experience merchandise and receive free registration plus discounted fundraising commitments for select in-person Ability Experience Challenge events.

Ambassadors can join the program at any point during the year. All Ambassadors in the program will reset on January 1.

Ambassadors are accepted for the calendar year, with the option to reaffirm their commitment at year’s end.

We accept ambassadors from all around the United States!

Anyone who wants to support The Ability Experience and our mission can be an ambassador!

Ambassadors are expected to host local events, ideally monthly, to engage supporters in their area. There is no requirement to participate in a minimum number of races. Ambassadors are encouraged to join and help recruit for in-person Ability Experience Challenge events as they are able.
