Pi Alpha Mentor Program

Help Prepare Future Pi Alphas for the Summer of a Lifetime

The Pi Alpha Mentor Program connects alumni with current team members preparing for Journey of Hope, Gear Up Florida, Gear Up New York or Build America. As a mentor, you’ll share your insight, offer encouragement and help guide team members through training, fundraising and the excitement ahead. It’s a meaningful way to stay involved while helping shape a transformational summer for a new generation of servant leaders.

What does a mentor do?

As a Pi Alpha mentor, you’ll provide consistent support through one-on-one communication, typically monthly check-ins, to help team members feel prepared and motivated. You’ll share stories, offer tips from your own experience and encourage them along the way. Whether it’s answering questions, celebrating milestones or showing up for a ride-along, your role makes a difference.

Who can be a mentor?

Mentors should be Pi Alphas in good standing who embody the values of Pi Kappa Phi and The Ability Experience. If a question comes up that you’re unsure about, no problem; we’ll connect you with staff who can help. What matters most is your heart for service and your willingness to walk alongside someone taking on a life-changing experience.
