Mike is an initiate of the Delta Alpha Chapter at Virginia Tech, where he served as vice archon. He was the first Pi Alpha at his chapter, rode Journey of Hope North Route in 2002, established partnerships with local Special Olympics programs, co-founded an on-campus Lions Club chapter and received the Outstanding Individual Contribution to Service Award at Virginia Tech. Mike interned at Pi Kappa Phi Headquarters, where he designed the Star & Lamp and other communications materials. A few years later, while designing the annual report for Chad Coltrane, he inadvertently created what became the current Ability Experience values. Mike joined the board in 2026 and still enjoys riding alongside the Journey of Hope TransAmerica team each summer from Bloomington to Indianapolis. He earned his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and now serves as chief operating officer of Achieve Test Prep. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife and two children.
