Bergstrom Fellows

The Ultimate Summer Experience

The Bergstrom Fellowship recognizes Pi Kappa Phi members who spend their summer working as counselors at camps that serve people with disabilities. Fellows receive a scholarship award that complements their camp pay and honors a full‑season commitment to hands-on service and inclusion.

Past participants consistently describe Bergstrom Fellowships as some of the most impactful experiences of their lives, because when you share the full rhythm of camp, you move far beyond a quick volunteer visit and into genuine friendship.

Model servant leadership and Pi Kappa Phi values in real time.

What you’ll gain

A meaningful summer job with purpose.

A scholarship and national recognition from The Ability Experience.

Real‑world experience in leadership, teamwork and disability inclusion.

Deep relationships that come only from living and serving together day in and day out.

Scholarship Opportunities

Along with gaining the distinction of being a Kelley A. Bergstrom Fellow, men who complete their summer will be awarded up to a $1,000 scholarship in addition to the funds that participants earn from working at the camp. Serving as a Bergstrom Fellow is a great way to gain leadership skills, grow your professional network, and build your resume.
