This morning was great as I let the team sleep in on our off day after a hard week of work at Camp Civitan. Our lodging was also provided by the Civitan Foundation as we were staying in their respite house in Phoenix. Along with the house, they also had Phoenix staff provide us lunch at the house which included sandwiches and some sides. After talking with the staff for about an hour they headed out and we decided to relax at the house and watch Into The Spiderverse. After some naps, we headed to Tukee’s Sports Bar where dinner was provided by Larry Quinn, who unfortunately was unable to make it, so we were met by Nick Knaus, a member of the 2013 Build America team. He shared a lot of stories about his trip and we compared our trips. It was interesting to see how things have changed over time. After a filling dinner, we went to a mall in Phoenix to go shopping for our secret Santa gifts. The mall was amazing and I especially liked the puppy store. After getting back to the house, we were all still trying to catch up on some relaxation time so we decided to watch the movie Holes, and shortly after one by one we headed in to bed to get ready for our drive to our last camp, camp Paivika in Crestline California, in the morning!
