This morning, we woke up in the Wichita State dorms, and begrudgingly left our beds behind. From the photographer perspective, this was the most visually interesting day since we left Colorado Springs, which was a nice surprise. After 105 miles, cyclists arrived in Emporia. The ride was long and hot, but the cyclists did a great job of powering through.
The local Kiwanis Club was gracious enough to sponsor 10 minute massages for the whole team. After we emerged from our collective comas, we were ecstatic to find a gigantic potluck with more than enough food for all of our cyclists (even the ones with dietary restrictions) to have seconds and thirds. We spent some time getting to know our sponsors and relaxed over dinner. Most guys fell asleep before lights out after a long day.
