Our journey to Thompson Falls, MT started with the cyclists favorite Crew Chief breakfast. We took the road early and the scenery was incredible. The road followed a river through the mountains that lead us deep into a forest. Accompanied by no cell service we crossed the Idaho/Montana border into our third state. Our lodging for the day was the town’s high-school gym. With staying at the high-school we had a sponsored spaghetti dinner provided by local parents and the school. They even gave us enough food to have an even better breakfast the next day. Thompson Falls was a small town but had milkshakes recommended by previous TransAm riders. We checked out Minne’s restaurant for some of the best milkshakes so far on this trip. After those milkshakes we were ready to take on our next century trek!
