Today marks the Journey of Hope’s first century! This means we rode 100 miles in the day (110 to be exact) to get to our destination. We started the morning with a sponsored breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and sausage, provided by the Kiwiwanias Club of 29 Palms. Anxious about the day ahead, we all hit the road to begin our trek to Arizona. Through the help of motivation from other cyclists and crew members along the way, every pace line was able to finish the ride and make it into Parker. We had the chance to cool off after in the chilly Colorado River, which felt amazing in the 103 degree heat. We ended the day by celebrating the ride by going out to dinner as a group and basking in our accomplishments. Overall a great day for the Journey of Hope South team!
