A: The Ability Experience’s 77 Society is a group of individuals
dedicated to supporting the mission and vision of The Ability Experience through
enrolling in a recurring donation. Recurring donations are a wonderful way to
provide support to The Ability Experience throughout the calendar year.
It is called the ‘77 Society’ because The Ability Experience was
established in 1977 by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, in an effort to mobilize its
members in support of people with disabilities.
Becoming a recurring gift donor means that you have
chosen to donate to The Ability Experience’s Annual Fund on a regular basis; providing a
steady and cost-effective source of income. And because your recurring donation
is processed automatically, you help us reduce our costs - which allow us to
fund more programs that Pi Kappa Phi brothers can experience, and grow the number
of people with disabilities, and the organizations that work with them, that we
are able to serve across the country.
A: For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving once
a month or quarterly (4 times per year).
As a monthly donor, you will be registering to make a
credit card donation every month. After you make your initial donation, future
donations will be charged every month to your credit card. For example, if you
choose to make a monthly donation of $50 today, your next donation of $50 will
be automatically charged to your account in exactly one month to the day, and
each subsequent month thereafter.
As a quarterly donor, you will be registering to make a
credit card donation every quarter (every 3 months). After you make your
initial donation, future donations will be charged every third month to your
credit card. For example, if you choose to make a quarterly donation of $50
today, your next donation of $50 will be automatically charged to your account
in exactly two months to the day, and each subsequent quarter thereafter.
A: When you sign up to support The Ability Experience through the 77
Society you will be charged for your first contribution and receive a receipt
at that time. Throughout the year you will not receive additional receipts,
however, you will receive an annual statement by mail with all your payment
details in the first quarter (January-March) of every year.

A: Yes. All donors who enroll in the 77 Society are given
the ability to potentially give more by spacing their pledge out over smaller
payments. Best of all, recurring donations are automated and hassle-free, providing
you with automated confirmation receipts for each transaction, and expired
credit card notices from us that will keep you informed about the status of
your recurring gift. In addition, all 77 Society members that contribute $250
and above annually will be listed in The Ability Experience's Annual Report.
A: No. Members and non-members are welcome to become 77
Society members. A Pi Alpha created the 77 Society several years ago as a way
to continue to support the organization that has done for much for him in his
personal development and growth as a young Pi Kapp. That being said, membership
in the 77 Society is open to ALL individuals that believe in The Ability Experience’s
mission and vision.

By Mail: Click here to download our 77 Society
pledge card. This will give you the option of having your recurring gift
charged to your credit card or taken out of your bank account through an ACH.
Checking Account: If you choose to pay via ACH, you
authorize The Ability Experience to automatically debit your checking account per your preferred
payment schedule. This authorization is to remain in full force and effect
until written notification is given to The Ability Experience of its termination.
Credit Card: Payments will be charged to your preferred
credit card account on the same day each month/quarter. Please maintain a
sufficient credit limit on your credit card on the payment date. If we are
unable to process your gift you will be notified. The amount and date of your recurring
gift will appear on your credit card statement. To ensure timely payments,
notify our Development team of any credit card updates or address changes by
phone or email (see below).
A: Yes. You have the option of either making a one-time
gift or setting up a recurring gift. For a one-time gift, you can designate
that the gift be made immediately or, for both one-time and recurring gifts,
you can schedule the gift to be charged to your credit card on the date(s)
specified by you.
A: Immediately after submitting your donation, you will
receive an email verifying your on-going contribution to The Ability Experience. Within
48 hours you will also receive written confirmation of your enrollment in the
